What Are We?
The Area VOA’s task is largely undefined. At the moment, our mission has mostly included the annual Venture Quest, but hopefully also includes providing program support to Council and local VOA’s as well as individual crews when needed, including training and events.
Where Are We?
Northeast Area 4 covers a wide expanse of the Mid-Atlantic region, including the southern two-thirds of Pennsylvania, as well as northeastern Maryland and the state of Delaware.
The Area includes the following Councils: Del-Mar-Va, Baltimore Area, Mason-Dixon, National Capital Area, Potomac, Bucktail, Chester County, Columbia-Montour, Cradle of Liberty, Greater Pittsburgh, Hawk Mountain, Juniata Valley, Keystone Area, Minsi Trails, Moraine Trails, Penn’s Woods, Pennsylvania Dutch, Susquehanna, Westmoreland-Fayette and York-Adams Area.
It includes the cities of Wilmington, Baltimore, Hagerstown, West Chester, Bloomsburg, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Reading, Allentown, Johnstown, Lancaster, Williamsport, State College, York, Huntington, New Castle, Altoona, Johnstown, Harrisburg, Arlington, Bethesda, Alexandria and Washington, DC.
Using the map above, the areas in dark red, teal, and yellow all are part of Area 4.
