The Area VOA’s tasks are still largely undefined. At the moment, Area 4 is dedicated to bringing a better Quest to the Venturers of the Area each and every year, and to providing information and support where possible.
As Venturing continues to mature, we hope the Area’s goals and responsibilities will become clearer.
What Are We?
The Northeast’s Area 4 covers a wide swath of the Mid-Atlantic region. Our area includes most of Pennsylvania, Northern Virginia, Maryland, Delaware the our nation’s capital, the District of Columbia.
The Area includes the following Councils: Del-Mar-Va, Baltimore Area, Mason-Dixon, National Capital Area, Potomac, Bucktail, Chester County, Columbia-Montour, Cradle of Liberty, Greater Pittsburgh, Hawk Mountain, Juniata Valley, Keystone Area, Minsi Trails, Moraine Trails, Penn’s Woods, Pennsylvania Dutch, Susquehanna, Westmoreland-Fayette and York-Adams Area.
This includes the cities of Philadelphia, State College, Pittsburgh, Lancaster, New Castle, Altoona, Johnstown, Wilmington, Dover, Hagerstown, Annapolis, Bethesda, Arlington, Alexandria, and Washington.
